Main Activity: One group presented Semester II project. Students worked on the Hurricanes Lab.
Closure: Human Effect on Weather concepts will be reinforced.

Main activity: One group presented Semester II project. The class did the Jeopardy review on Unit 4.
Closure: Human Effect on Weather concepts will be reinforced.
HW: Study for Unit 4 Test tomorrow.

Main activity: : One group presented Semester II project. Students took the Unit 4 Test. Students received the Unit 5 Vocab sheet and began defining vocab.
Closure: Human Effect on Weather concepts will be reinforced.
HW: Complete any outstanding assignments. Complete all Unit 4 vocab by Monday.

Objective: Unit 5: Water
Standards: 5.8.12A, 5.8.12B, 5.8.12C, 5.8.12D
Learning Goal: Students will understand the Human Effect on Water
Main activity: One group presented Semester II project. Students began the “Down the Drain” Water Usage Survey Project. Students received personal water charts for each member in their family and learned how to keep the data necessary for this week-long project. Students went over the water cycle and groundwater. Students worked on the first side of the blue worksheet, p 14, Water Erosion and Deposition, locating all freshwater resources.
HW: Explain the “Down the Drain” project to family members and begin to take data for the project. Complete p 14 if not completed in class.

Objective: Unit 5: Water
Standards: 5.8.12A, 5.8.12B, 5.8.12C, 5.8.12D
Learning Goal: Students will understand Human Effect on Water
Main Activity: One group presented Semester II project. Students discussed their progress with the “Down the Drain” project. Students learned about aquifers and looked at the “Atlantic County Recycles” newspaper and made drawings of our local South Jersey aquifers in their notebooks.HW: Complete p 12 of the back side of the blue Worksheet, Protecting an Aquifer. Also finish side 1 of vocab sheet for tomorrow. Continue to take data for “Down the Drain” Project.
